Atlassian - Confluence - Thought sharing for your team.

Confluence is a knowledge management tool that we use at Jobster; it has a nice, extensible collection of blogging and wiki features that are well-suited for software projects.

For example, we can easily include code snippets in various languages that are automatically syntax colored by the Confluence. We can also include reports extract from Jira, our bug tracking database.

Open Source Blackberry development

The addition of a usable keyboard potentially enables all kinds of interesting new mobile applications, but few compelling apps are being written (to my knowledge), much less open source apps.

It’s not a lack of tools: Research in Motion has an easy-to-use SDK for authoring Blackberry apps in Java; I’m sure other smart phones have similar environments.

Maybe geeks can’t afford Blackberry’s and smart phones. But if there is anyone interested in collaborating on Berry 411 and projects like it, please let me know; I plan to release the source.

La Buona Tavola

Discovered La Buona Tavola at the Pike Place market. Made pasta with ham, good mushrooms, parsley, and white truffle oil. Yum!
